The Singing Stone is a fantasy novel that blends Celtic mythology, history, and adventure. The story follows Kay, a modern-day teenage girl who is mysteriously transported to a mythical version of ancient Ireland, where she must rediscover her true identity and fulfill an important quest.

Connections to Grade 8 Social Studies:

  • Celtic Culture & Mythology: The novel explores elements of Druidic traditions, Celtic warriors, and ancient Irish society.
  • Medieval History: It provides insight into pre-Christian Ireland and early medieval Europe, including their beliefs, traditions, and conflicts.

Final Exam Prep Kahoot & Study Time!!!!  Before we jump into today’s Kahoot, I want to take a quick minute to go over a few important reminders. Kahoot is something we use to review and have fun while learning—but that only works if everyone uses it respectfully. So here’s how we’ll be handling it today and for ALL future kahoots (E.g. next year Socials 9 as well).  We’re using [nickname generator / player identifiers / real names] today to keep things appropriate and respectful.
