Before we jump into Monday's Kahoot, I want to take a quick minute to go over a few important reminders. Kahoot is something we use to review and have fun while learning—but that only works if everyone uses it respectfully.

Last time, someone joined the game using an inappropriate nickname. This kind of behaviour isn’t acceptable in this classroom or anywhere at school. I know the name was deleted right away however due to the nature of the selected deleted name it created an unsafe and unwelcoming moment in our classroom space. 

So here’s how we’ll be handling it Monday and for ALL future kahoots (E.g. next year Socials 9 as well). 

• We’re using [nickname generator / player identifiers / real names] today to keep things appropriate and respectful.

Part of growing up is learning how to handle things appropriately and with maturity. I hope this is a lesson for all of you regarding appropriate and respectful conduct moving forwards.
